How I Found Belt
I met Anne at the Distillery when she was in Pittsburgh for a Food and Drink Writers Conference. At the end of the distillery tour, Anne told me "you should write a book." I replied, "I did!" And then much to my great surprise and delight Anne published it and has championed the lost history of American Whiskey ever since. I fell in love with Anne's unsinkable wit and passion for bringing unsung stories to the world from our first conversation. I am so proud to be a part of the Belt community.
The Belt Cookie Table Cookbook! I am a part of a cookbook club—5 of us women gather every month and cook out of a particular cookbook. And this cookbook is next on the list! In it, Bonnie Tawse brings one of Western PA's most delicious traditions to life and the icing on this cookie table is a forward by the incomparable Beth Kracklauer, a Western PA culinary gem herself.
